Within the Drug Design Small Molecules unit, you will work in the New Technology Platform team, which is part of the Research Chemistry Pole of Activities.

Flow Chemistry is being developed as an important enabling organic synthesis technology in the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires a combination of organic synthesis expertise and flow chemistry insight to develop and deliver scalable solutions for the synthesis of key compounds.

Main activities:

Your main accountabilities will be :

– to further develop flow chemistry for medicinal chemistry projects (identification of opportunities to improve our methods, especially on early phases)

– to educate the chemists to flow chemistry (appropriation of the tool for organic synthesis) in the laboratory and by publishing results

– to develop efficient methods in flow chemistry (such as contiguous sequences, photochemistry, electrochemistry, etc)

– to extend flow chemistry methods available to Medicinal Sciences; and to propose an evolution of the techique towards:

– continuous parallel synthesis

– development of the gas platform and

– implementation of flow electrochemistry as a proofof concept of the technique’s contribution to medicinal chemistry projects.

If you are excited by the opportunity to join a dynamic research department, and motivated to join a company like Servier with an internation profile and a commitment to delivering pharmaceutical products on a global scale, please get in touch!

ABOUT YOU:

– you have a PhD in organic chemistry and ideally a specialization in flow chelmistry (application to small molecules synthesis)

-You have a previous experience both in organic chemistry and flow chemistry

– you are a creative person and a rigorous scientist

– You have the ability to collaborate in an integrated multidisciplinary and international team environment (English is mandatory – if you have read this far and understood everything without Google Traduction, that is promising)

– You have the ability to build a solid network with experts to facilitate the transfer of technology solutions between groups and departments
